I was tasked with refreshing the KEXP brand’s look and feel to better reflect the brand’s values and belief. KEXP is more than your typical radio station. Yes, they play music on air, but they also stream their shows live and offer customized playlists online. They focus on more than one genre, selecting from new, old, and unknown artists. KEXP believes music is so much more than what you hear. It’s a feeling, an experience, a statement, a point of view on life, and an empowering force. I worked on this rejected brand identity re-fresh which attempted to provide a modern touch to KEXP's long history and help expand their brands reach to new mediums.

BelowWith a new performing space, KEXP had the opportunity to host bands in the studio for live recording sessions. The space also alllowed a small space for people to view the recording inside and outside the studio. Below is some sub-branding for those sessions leveraging the logomark.
